XL Dust Free Ballast...

XL Dust Free Ballast provides a near dust free discharge of stone, ideal when working in tunnels or on windy sites, providing a considerably improved working environment.

When ballast is treated with the product usually at the quarry or virtual quarry, the result is a material which when discharged is nearly dust free. This can be seen to maximum advantage when working in tunnels or on windy sites. The need for workers to wear last resort PPE respirators is very much reduced. On dry windy days the working environment is much improved.

Dust Free Ballast works by applying a plastic type coating onto the stone which encapsulates the dust. The type of treatment can last from several days to months.

Dust Free Ballast will not discolour stone, it is non toxic and will not contaminate soils, streams and vegetation. It has been used in may varied situations including road construction, steel works, power stations, quarries, coal mining, public parks, footpaths, bike trails, bridal paths and military applications.
